I have decided that I am going to start cooking more healthy. I ate so healthy growing up because one we didn't have any money so we lived out of our garden and two my mother was always against fatty food. I also have decided to start cooking from scratch. I feel like all we eat sometimes is processed junk. YUCK!!!
As I am starting to think about having another baby, I figured no time like the present to start eating healthy, plus I want to get rid of those last few pregnancy pounds that won't come off. I also don't want my son to grow up thinking that the only good foods are the ones with all the preservatives. I am on a mission to throw out all the junk and never bring it back into my home. We eat too much red meat and we need to start putting more chicken and fish into our diets. I will keep you all posted on my progress and I will also post my recipes for the week.

I have a food blog where I post all my recipes which are quick and more importantly, healthy. It's foodieparadise2.blogspot.com. Being a health and nutrition student (and very soon, graduate) I've come to realize the importance of promoting healthy ideas and recipes.... so that is one of my outlets. I'm going to be working with a few school districts and their nutrition programs fall semester. I'm sure my blog will get interesting then... haha
Good luck! It's hard work to break old habits but totally worth it.

P.S. One of my nutrition professors has a young son who is 2 or 3 who has no idea what a cheeto is. I think that would be SO hard to NOT teach your child in this day and age....
