Sillyness, oreos, and appliance woes.

This is what happens when you turn your back for even a second.

We bought some Oreos the other day. One of my all time favorite cookies, and I guess Caleb's too. Everyone eats them differently. I personally like to eat them in two pieces, I like to take the cookie apart eat the filling and then eat the cookie. Yummy!! Well I thought I had seen some weird ways of eating an Oreo but my son takes the cake. He likes to eat it with a spoon. Yes you heard me right a spoon. He takes it apart and scoops the filling out with a spoon and when all the filling is gone he then eats the cookie. I tried to get him to eat it the regular way and he just looked at me funny and said, "Where's my spoon." That is something I will have to laugh at him for when he is older.

When we moved into our beautiful apartment. (Yes I am being sarcastic. *Rolls Eyes*) They told us that it would be furnished with new appliances and come with a new washer and dryer and also a microwave. (They lied.) We moved in and the dishwasher was older then I am, and works great. *Rolls eyes* Basically you can't have anything that isn't a plate in the bottom or the top doesn't wash. We also had to go out and buy a microwave. When we asked where the new appliances were they acted like we didn't know what we were talking about. Anyway, I got used to the crappy dishwasher and the other brand spanking new appliances. Anyway, my very sweet husband was doing the dishes last night and turned on the dishwasher and it started to leak, and then it wouldn't drain, it also makes a horrible sound like it is trying but it just can't do it, maybe it is finally dead. (One can hope) I mean the thing was made in the 70's. It always seems like when they come fix one thing another thing breaks. I'm pretty sure maintanance just waits for our phone calls. My dryer doesn't dry, my fridge sounds like a freight train and my oven either over cooks or under cooks. It's so much fun. I am probably cursing one of my appliances at least once a day. What's the point of having an appliance if the stupid thing doesn't work?

We are moving in February!! :) 6 more moths of this. Next place we live I will make them write it in blood if they promise us anything. We pay way too much for all the crappy plumbing and crappy appliances.

Someday I will have a beautiful kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances this is my dream. For now I am stuck with a tiny kitchen that has hardly any counter space, and appliances that are as fickle as a teenage girl.

The kitchen of your dreams matches the kitchen of my dreams. I'm sorry that your apartment sucks. I love the pictures of your son you posted. What a cutie!! I saw that you got a new dishwasher on facebook, I'm glad! I hope it actually works!
